Mont-Louis is accessible by bus for just €2, and once you're here, everything is within reach. Here's how it works in practice.

Getting to Mont-Louis
Mont-Louis is served by the regional liO bus network. The journey from Perpignan costs just €2 and takes about 1h45.
Get to Perpignan
By TGV from Paris (5h), Toulouse (2h), Montpellier (1h30), or via Perpignan-Rivesaltes airport.
Take the liO bus line 560
Departs from Perpignan bus station, direction Font-Romeu. The journey takes about 1h45 and costs just €2.
Arrive in Mont-Louis
Get off at the 'Mont-Louis' stop. The center is a 2-minute walk away, inside the citadel.
A liO ticket costs just €2 for any trip in the Occitanie region. Buy it directly on the bus or through the liO app.

Getting around and training
Once in Mont-Louis, here's how to reach the main training spots.
Run from the center
No transport needed! Many trails and roads start directly from the center. Mont-Louis is surrounded by perfect paths for altitude runs at 1,600m.
Font-Romeu track
The CNEA athletics track is accessible by liO bus (15 min, €2). Motorized residents also regularly offer carpooling.
Lake Matemale
The lake loop (12 km, ideal for long runs) is 15 min by car. Carpooling with other residents is the most common solution.
Cycling
If you bring your bike, all mountain passes and roads are accessible directly. The Capcir and Cerdagne regions offer exceptional routes.
Groceries
Grocery shopping is easy
Mont-Louis has food shops within walking distance. For bigger grocery runs, carpooling with residents works perfectly.

Regional markets are a great opportunity to discover local Pyrenean products.
Most residents do a big grocery run on arrival (easy to organize via carpooling) then top up daily at the village shop.
